VALENCIA, RACE TWO REPORT: IACONELLI TWELFTH, VALLES RETIRED

The first appointment of the GP2 Main Series with the street track of Valencia ends with the twelfth place scored by Carlos Iaconelli under the chequered flag. Adrian Valles retired instead during the fourth lap due to a race contact with Sebastian Buemi. In the episode, Iaconelli that was following closely, spun to avoid the two single seaters stalled on the racing line.

The Brazilian driver got back in the race with determination, despite his Dallara not being any more in perfect conditions, and pushed hard in the effort not to lose any positions.

Next round of the series, second last of the whole season, is scheduled for the 7th of September at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.
