Esteban achieved his fourth victory in the GP3 Series

Hockenheim, Germany -- ART Grand Prix's driver Esteban Gutierrez achieved today at Hockenheim his fourth win of the season after starting the race from fifth on the grid and having a remarkable start which allowed him to reach third place at the first corner. After this, he set his target on Addax's Felipe Guimaraes, whom he overtook a few laps later for second place.

Again this race saw a number of yellow flags and a Safety Car period. At the re-start of the race on lap seven, the Mexican driver was focused on his main goal -- to win the race -- and with a smart drive he took advantage of an error made by Spanish driver Daniel Juncadella, taking the lead and making the fastest lap in the process -- 1m 31.853s -- on lap 14, which gave him an extra point on round 10 of the season.

With the 12 points earned this weekend at Hockenheim Ring, Esteban is absolute leader of the European series with a gap of 30 points ahead of second place driver and consistently keeps adding valuable points race after race.

The Mexican driver has now 64 points and keeps a significant difference with Canadian Robert Wickens, who runs second in the championship and has 34 points. French team ART Grand Prix leads the team's championship by 43 points ahead of team Status GP.

"We are very happy with the results of this weekend. It was very positive for the team's motivation as we showed that even starting far behind in a different situation, we can climb back and have solid performances."

"Our main objective was to add up championship points in both races and at the end things turned out better than we had expected after qualifying."

"It is very important that, even with these results, we keep our feet on the ground, as that is how every experience is lived better, and the way to learn more every time. We have faith in God for the next weekend at Budapest to be positive in several aspects so we can keep progressing and having more experiences that make us stronger every time."

"I am grateful to my family, all my fans and my sponsors, their support motivates me to give the best from me."

Esteban is flying back to his head quarters in Paris to take a two day break before flying on Wednesday to his next appointment - the Hungaroging, in Budapest, Hungary - where rounds 11th and 12th of the GP3 series will take place next weekend.
