Leclerc tops Day 2 to sweep GP3's Spielberg test
GP3 championship leader Charles Leclerc was once again quickest on Day 2 of the series' in-season test at Spielberg.
The Monegasque, a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, clocked a best lap of 1m19.437s - good enough to make him the quickest driver of the day, but not faster than the 1m19.171s he posted on Day 1.
Just as on Tuesday, the ART driver's quickest lap came in the morning session, albeit he was very nearly matched by fellow Ferrari protege Antonio Fuoco, lapping just 0.012s behind.
Former FR2.0 teammates Matt Parry and Jack Aitken were third and fifth respectively, split by Barcelona race winner Alex Albon.
The afternoon was headed by Campos driver Steijn Schothorst, with Aitken, Santino Ferrucci, Jake Dennis and teammate Konstantin Tereshchenko following close - albeit the pace of the frontrunners was well off the morning's times.
Tereshchenko was among the drivers to cause one of the day's red flags, the others coming out DAMS driver Kevin Jorg and the series' third Ferrari junior Giuliano Alesi.
GP3's next track action - the two races at Spielberg - is three weeks away, taking place on July 1-3.
