Russell dominates final day of GP3 post-season testing

Russell, who has been linked with a move to GP3 with ART for 2017, set the overall fastest time of the three-day test in the morning session with a time of 1m55.364s.

He was again quickest in the afternoon but his time fell short by four tenths.

Apart from Russell, Trident's Santino Ferrucci was the only one able to dip below the 1m56s barrier in the morning.

Alessio Lorandi, the pacesetter yesterday, was third in the Jenzer car ahead of the Arden duo of Max Defourny and Leonardo Pulcini.

Both drivers drove for the British team after spending the first to days with ART and Campos respectively.

Jack Aitken also left ART for DAMS on day 3 and was sixth, followed by Arjun Maini.

Steijn Schothorst put a second Jenzer in the top 10 in eighth ahead of Arden's Kevin Jorg and Trident's Giuliano Alesi.
