Gonda, 22, has previous experience in the likes of Formula Renault 2.0, Formula 3 and AutoGP.

Among his main accolades in open-wheel racing are a European F3 Open F308 class title in 2013 and third place in the 2014 season of the short-lived Formula Acceleration 1 series.

Gonda raced in the Renault Sport Trophy series last year, partnering with Andrea Pizzitola to take the runner-up spot in the Endurance class - and securing runner-up in the Prestige class as well.

"The team is happy to have Richard on board, a driver with vast racing experience," said team boss Andreas Jenzer.

In the Swiss team's line-up, Gonda joins Akash Nandy and GP3 race winner Oscar Tunjo.

His signing means that all seven of GP3's teams now have at least three drivers confirmed.
