Duval set to remain with Dragon Racing
Loic Duval is set to continue with Dragon Racing for the second season of the FIA Formula E championship, Motorsport.com can reveal.
The factory Audi driver competed in the majority of Formula E rounds during the first season after taking over from Oriol Servia, who moved in to a management role within the team.
Duval scored a best place of third at both Berlin and Battersea Park on his way to ninth position in the final drivers' standings, helping Dragon to secure the runners-up position in the team’s standings.
Dragon Racing will run the Venturi designed powertrain for season two and its team have re-grouped at its Donington base this week to prepare for the first test at the UK venue next Monday.
Duval’s team mate Jerome D’Ambrosio, who was confirmed by Dragon for a second season last month, tested a Venturi test chassis mated to the new powertrain in France two weeks ago.
Dragon Racing’s engineer Nigel Beresford conducted the test and is also expected to remain at the team, which is owned by Jay Penske, as technical director. Beresford has a long history of affiliation with Penske stretching back to 1991.
