Formula E set for Japanese manufacturer influx - Suzuki
Several top Japanese automotive manufacturers will enter Formula E in some capacity in the coming seasons, says Formula E team owner Aguri Suzuki.

The former Larousse, Footwork and Ligier Formula 1 driver, who competed in 64 grands prix between 1988 and 1995, believes that when one Japanese auto maker joins the growing all-electric series, its rivals will quickly follow.
“This is the Japanese way - we live to compete and we have seen it in other championships over many years," Suzuki told Motorsport.com.
“What will happen is the manufacturers will come in as small or even silent partners, then get a stronger presence in the championship. My feeling is that it could start to happen in maybe season three.”
Suzuki, the owner of the Amlin Aguri team, declared himself satisfied with the way season one has gone for the Anglo-Japanese squad, which notched up its only Formula E win in Buenos Aires with Antonio Felix da Costa on the top step.
“Buenos Aires was special, but I was not there, which was a big shame, I was back in Japan watching on TV,” Suzuki continued.
“But we have had strong races for year one and now we prepare for the next season with the same technical package but lots of focus. We will be in good shape."
Resolution still not reached
Title sponsors of Super Aguri, Amlin, are set to split with the team after Battersea Park and negotiations between the two parties are believed to have taken place in London yesterday.
Motorsport.com understands that Super Aguri Formula E Racing Ltd and Amlin could both confirm the split in the coming weeks should a settlement between the two be agreed.
Motorsport.com broke the news last week of the parting of the ways between the two after Amlin made the decision to end the partnership in order to go with another team in season two.
