Formula E has arrived in Europe: On Saturday (9 May), the first ever racing series for pure electric powered single-seaters stages its seventh race of the season around the streets of Monaco.

Lucas di Grassi can sleep in his own bed

Lucas di Grassi must only walk about 150 meters to get from his own front door to the pit lane, the event in Monaco is the home race for the Brazilian, who has lived for years in the principality with his Bianca. “I can sleep in my own bed and know my way around perfectly,” says di Grassi, who has organized a small location directly on the track for his many friends.

Daniel Abt advertises for the Berlin ePrix at Hockenheim

Daniel Abt was a man on a dual mission last weekend when he visited at the DTM opener at Hockenheim: the German drove the Audi race taxi once again as he chauffeured prominent guests around the track and also advertised for the Berlin ePrix for Formula E on 23 May. Fans could admire Daniel Abt’s Formula E car in the exhibition ‘World of Racecars’, and were able to obtain information about the ABT team’s home race.

ABT makes dream start to the 2015 DTM season

Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline made a dream start to the new DTM season: Mattias Ekström, who has raced for the squad around Team Boss Hans-Jürgen Abt since 2001, won Sunday’s race from his team mate Edoardo Mortara. The Italian also tops the rankings in the popular touring car series thanks to finishing fourth on Saturday. The next races are on 29 and 30 May.

Lucky charm from home on board

Daniel Abt is delighted about the continued support from his family. In addition to Hans-Jürgen Abt, who is always present as Team Boss, his sister Marina and mother Margit have also travelled to Monaco to cheer him on from trackside. A good omen: the family was last seen at the track in Miami and Daniel Abt collected his first trophy.
