The Berlin ePrix moves to a brand new city centre venue for its second edition and round eight of the 2015/16 FIA Formula E Championship. The streets around Alexanderplatz will be the location for this year’s action, a change from last year’s Tempelhof base. Nelson Piquet Jr and Oliver Turvey will be on duty for the NextEV TCR Formula E Team.

Nelson Piquet Jr: “The new Berlin track seems very interesting. There’s a lot of straight lines and hopefully some good opportunities for overtaking. The venue is in a cool place and I think it will be a very good weekend for Formula E. We scored some good points at the Berlin ePrix last season, we’ll be aiming for another points finish this time around.”

Oliver Turvey: “This year's Formula E track in the centre of Berlin looks like a great circuit to race on, with a number of hairpins and straights, making braking and acceleration important. There are also a couple of high speed corners around the Strausberger Platz, which looks to be the most challenging area and the part of the circuit I’m most looking forward to driving.”

Martin Leach, President, NEXTEV: “At the last round in Paris we scored our best qualifying result of the season with Nelson and Oliver. We are working hard between races to make continual improvements and are hopeful that we can carry the momentum of Paris through to Berlin, but this time maximise our qualifying performance and achieve a strong points scoring race result for both drivers.”
