No Loss, No Gain
Montreal, Canada, September 18, 2004 -- Euro Formula 3 Series' competitor Bruno Spengler of St. Hippolyte, Quebec qualified 11th and finish 11th in the race held today in Brno, Czech Republic.
"The car was not running well this morning in qualifying," said the Mercedes-Benz driver. "With the first set of new tires, the car was under steering and with the second set of new tires, the rear end was loose."
The Canadian took the start of the race in 11th place. In the event, he did not lose or gain positions. "It is almost impossible to pass on this circuit. I think there was only one overtaking manoeuvre that happened over the entire race out of the 26 participants. Even if you're running faster than another competitor, it is almost impossible to find a place to make a pass. Tomorrow, I will start in 3rd place and the race will be decided at the start," said the 21-year old racer.
The second round of the weekend will be held tomorrow morning.
