Santino Ferrucci, Michele Beretta and Riccardo Agostini as well as the two guest drivers Sérgio Sette Câmara and Stefano Coletti represented the colours of the Italian Eurointernational squad, on this year’s FIA Formula 3 European Championship grid.

The three regulars scored a total of 36 points, thus securing ninth position in the team championship, for their squad. The fourth place secured by the only 16 year old young-gun Ferrucci in the season highlight at the Norisring represented the team’s best race result in the 2014 season.

The two Italian drivers

The squad around Team Principal Antonio Ferrari entered the season with the two Italian drivers Riccardo Agostini and Michele Beretta. Agostini already had a lot of Formula 3 experience under his belt, gathered – inter alia – in the Italian Formula 3 Championship. The 20-year old from Padua secured one top-10 result – by finishing 10th in the season kick-off at Hockenheim. Nonetheless, with nine meeting contested, he made an early end to his FIA Formula 3 European Championship season.

Other than Agostini, Michele Beretta entered the season as rookie. In Pau, Southern France, the passionate alpine skier celebrated his first rookie podium by finishing third behind Esteban Ocon (Prema Powerteam) and Jake Dennis (Carlin) – and kept on scoring points for the rookie ranking in another 20 races. In this championship for Formula 3 newcomers he finished sixth, in the end.

At Spa-Francorchamps Santino Ferrucci also finally could make his FIA Formula 3 European Championship debut. Only a few days before the Belgian race weekend, the teenager turned 16 – the minimum age for competing in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. In the following meeting, at the Norisring, he already scored his first points by finishing fifth and fourth respectively. At the same time, these results also should turn out to be the best in his debut season.

Guest drivers

The final two meetings were contested for Eurointernational by guest drivers Sérgio Sette Câmara and Stefano Coletti. Both Brazilian Câmara – who advanced to the FIA Formula 3 European Championship from the Brazilian Formula 3 Championship – and Monaco’s Coletti who switched from the GP2 Series to the European Championship failed to secure top-10 results.
