Formula 3 Euro Series
Third victory of the season for Volkswagen by Robert Wickens

At Sundays race of the Formula 3 Euro Series staged as part of the DTM at Le Mans (F) the Canadian Robert Wickens (CDN) celebrated his first Formula 3 exploit as well as the third victory of the season for Volkswagen. In addition, he is the first Canadian to achieve a triumph in the Euro Series. Alongside Wickens his team-mate at Signature, Jean Karl Vernay (F), finished on the podium in third place, in most difficult weather conditions. Volkswagen driver Edoardo Mortara (I) is still the runner-up in the drivers standings.

Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup
Josh Hurley clinches championship title at Road Atlanta

A second place behind Liam Kenney sufficed for Josh Hurley to win the title in the Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cups debut season. At the finale of the American "touring car school, which is based on the German model, at Road Atlanta Kenney took the lead on lap twelve, on lap 15 champion Hurley advanced to second place. With a five-point advantage he thus celebrated the title.

Volkswagen Polo Cup China
Strong showing by exchange student Ignacio Espinosa in China

At his guest stint in the Chinese Volkswagen Polo Cup at Zhuhai Ignacio Espinosa from Peru delivered a strong recovery and achieved second place in most difficult conditions. Thanks to exemplary public relations work about his participation in the German ADAC Volkswagen Polo Cup, the 17-year-old had earned the slot in the exchange programme. The winner of the round was Xu Weiduan, third place went to the Chinese Lai Ming, who recently participated as an "exchange student in the German Polo Cup.

Volkswagen Endurance Cup the Netherlands
Another victory of cup leader at 6-hour race at Assen

In extremely adverse weather conditions the cup-leading "Manpower 1 team with drivers Ronald Morien and Ferry Duivenvoorde won the seventh and penultimate round of the Volkswagen Endurance Cup in the Netherlands. Numerous spins determined the race, yet of the 39 teams that had started 36 teams in their Volkswagen Golf TDI cars finished the race. The "Manpower 1 team has a 42-point advantage before the season finale at Zandvoort on 19 October.

Volkswagen Polo Cup South Africa
Double victory for Jared Mortimer at Scribante

The Volkswagen Polo Cup in South Africa is seeing a gripping championship fight. At the seasons final spurt as many as four drivers are within only 13 points of each other. At Scribante, the man of the weekend was Jared Mortimer, who won both races and thus took the lead of the standings. Mathew Hodges finished both races as the runner-up, the remaining places on the podium were shared by Kieren Quarmby and Miguel Pasqualli. The next race will be staged at Kyalami.

Formula Volkswagen South Africa
Favourites win on the way to the championship

With two clear victories, leader of the standings Gavin Cronje expanded his advantage in the title fight of the Formula Volkswagen in South Africa. At Scribante, Cronje won the first round in front of his closest rival Christiano Morgado, at the second race he relegated Michael Stephen to second place. In the championship this trio forms the group of front runners as well.
