The 20-year-old from Augusta, Ga., took a win and four other podium finishes, despite missing the first event of three races, and went on to finish fifth in the title race.
“I’m more motivated than ever,” said Robinson who will again partner Kent Vaccaro in Momentum. “I think with some prep-time we should be in good shape for the championship.
“Momentum Motorsports has so much heart and puts so much effort in, the team deserves to be rewarded.”
“It will be a different dynamic from last year since I’ll be coaching and driving this season,” Robinson said. “However, I can relate to the track conditions better. The competition is going to be stout for sure but we’ll be ready.”
Momentum Motorsports will run three cars this year, and is expected to announce its third driver in time to test before the season-opening races at Homestead-Miami Speedway in early April.
"We are very happy with our driver line up thus far,” said Momentum’s team manager Phil Picard Jr. “Skylar brings race-winning experience back to the team, and Kent has shown great talent and poise in the car through testing.
“More importantly I think the chemistry we've enjoyed will lead to a championship."
Robinson is the seventh confirmed returnee to the SCCA Pro Racing-run F4 US series, which utilizes Onroak (née Crawford) chassis mated to a two-liter Honda engine from the Civic Type-R.
