Momentum, led by Phil Picard Sr., is expecting to try out up to five drivers on May 10 at Kershaw, and will have engineers on hand from chassis designer Crawford Composites, engine supplier Honda Performance Development and data specialists GEMS Performance Electronics.

“The goal is to find career-minded drivers to run the whole series with our team,” said Picard. “We were extremely pleased to receive the very first customer car of the F4 U.S. series, and now we are looking to get some great drivers in our seats.”

Picard said the goal is to expose potential F4 U.S. Championship drivers to the new international formula and give them a chance to compete for a spot on the Momentum Motorsports team in front of the very engineers who brought the car to life.

Momentum Motorsports, will continue to campaign in SCCA F2000, and has run its team for young open-wheel racers for almost 15 years.

Said Picard: “We want to move these kids up the motorsports ladder. Formula 4 is the perfect stepping stone from karting into open-wheel racing.

“We are looking forward to finding the next Momentum F4 drivers at this factory-supported test and get the ball rolling on this exciting new series.”

Drivers interested in taking part in the Momentum Motorsports factory-supported test can contact Picard at (845) 457-7737.

The five-event/15-race SCCA Pro Racing F4 U.S. Championship starts at Lime Rock Park on May 27-28.
