Satisfaction and disappointments for DAMS in Qualifying 1.
For the second time in 2 qualifying sessions Jose Maria LOPEZ missed the front row after 5 consecutive pole positions (4th today). "I am a little bit disappointed said LOPEZ. I was 3 tenths faster than the others yesterday, I am 4 tenths slower today. Any way my position is not so bad for the Championship, my priority is to score points."
Davide DI BENEDETTO confirmed his good performance of yesterday with 5th position, 1 tenth of a second only from LOPEZ. "I am very happy, it is fantastic to drive with DAMS, the Team is very professional. I don't think I could do better today, I pushed hard, but the weather changed between yesterday's test and this morning, and the car was not reacting as it did in the free practice."
Mike DEN TANDT was quite disappointed with 9th position. "I can't explain at the moment why my lap time is not good, we will debrief with the engineers and try to find a solution. The race will be long tomorrow, with the standing start and the pit stops everything is possible."
