Oliveras and Ramos, the winners in Mexico City

The champion Hugo Oliveras claim his first Panam GP Series of the season at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, at the round 1 of the 2008 season. Oliveras was perfect on his Formula Renault 2.0.

Oliveras, the poleman, led the 19 laps at the 4.4 kms. circuit. The teammate of Oliveras, the young Javier Razo, finished second, followed by David Farias, who completed the podium.

Javier Ramos, Jose Carlos Sandoval, Enrique Vazquez, Diego Cuestas (from Guatemala), Jose Luis Cortinas, Jorge Alarcon y Alejandro Cortinas, completed the top-10.

In the second round of the season, Javier Ramos was the winner. He announced his retired like driver, and he continued like team owner for the rest of the season.

Like in the first race, Razo and Farias completed the podium. The champion Oliveras abandoned on the first lap, after a contact with his teammate Razo, at the turn 3 of the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.

The next race of the Panam GP Series will be the Guatemala Grand Prix, May 10-11.
