The CR Scuderia Formula Renault team heads to the Croft circuit in Yorkshire this weekend for rounds nine and ten of the 2008 Formula Renault UK Championship. Adam Christodoulou is still leading the Championship and will be looking to extend that lead at Croft. All four CRS drivers ran well at the Croft test so are looking forward to a good showing during the races on Sunday.

CRS Team Director, Andrew Kirkaldy:

"In previous years Croft has been one of the best circuits for us. The test day recently showed that we had good pace but I am sure it will be very close. We need to go out and try and win the races but more importantly we need to score good points this weekend."

Adam Christodoulou (currently 1st in Championship standings):

"Thruxton started off as an awesome weekend. Everything was going to plan; I was fastest in both qualifying sessions, was very confident going into both races, won the first race and was looking forward to winning the second race to extend my lead in the championship. Unfortunately in the second race I was judged to have jumped the start so had to come in for a ‘drive-thru' penalty. It's a shame it wasn't another top weekend, but I'm still leading the Championship by a handful of points. I think going into Croft there is a little bit more pressure now the Championship is closer but I've had the pace all year so I'm feeling confident in myself and the team. During the official testing at Croft I was about third quickest and I know in myself I can find that extra tenth to be fastest again in qualifying. Croft is really tight and twisty; in my eyes it's a big kart track and I'm looking forward to getting back there. My target for this weekend will to get back up to the top spot on the podium and to regain my comfortable lead in the Championship. I know it was a disappointing weekend for me and the team at Thruxton but that's behind us now and we're all looking forward to the weekend ahead of us at Croft."

Ryuji Yamamoto (currently 5th in Championship standings):

"Croft is a very technical circuit. Last year I couldn't participate in race two due to a crash in race one but this year I don't expect any problems as the test went very well. It could well be warm for the race weekend and the conditions will be tough, especially for the tyres, so I will make sure I look after those. I will try my best to score as many points as I can. My team have worked hard to prepare my new car after the crash at Thruxton so I would like t o repay them with a good result."

Scott Jenkins (currently 11th in Championship standings):

"Thruxton didn't work out exactly as I had hoped, though given the lack of track time I'm not overly disappointed. It was another learning experience; I'm having plenty of those this year. I have lost a few places in the Championship standings and I fully intend to get those back at Croft. Whilst in testing things have gone quite well at Croft and the most important thing, compared to other tracks for me this year, is that I've raced at Croft before in the Winter Series. I've actually got some knowledge of what it's like to race at the circuit and I'm really looking forward to it. It's a fun circuit and if I can master a few small areas I'm reasonably confident of a good result. If I'm going to win the Graduate Cup this year I need to make an impact at Croft, so some top six finishes would be ideal."

Sten Pentus (currently 1 4th in Championship standings):

"Thruxton didn't go as well as I would have liked so I'm hoping for a better time at Croft. The test went well for me there; I finished the last session third fastest so I am looking forward to the race weekend. I have had good results at Croft in the past as I came second when I raced in the Formula Renault BARC Championship and I won the last Winter Cup race there. My target for this weekend is to be consistently fast from the first free practice to the end of the second race!"

The Formula Renault teams have a late start on Saturday as the two qualifying sessions are scheduled for 1415hrs and 1740hrs. Both races take place as normal on Sunday with round nine at 1315hrs and round 10 finishing off a packed day of motor racing at Croft at 1755hrs.
