UK Winter: Series Croft preview

FORMULA RENAULT HEADLINES FINAL 2008 CROFT RACE MEETING

The curtain comes down with the final circuit racing action of the 2008 season at Croft Circuit, North Yorkshire this weekend (Saturday 1st November), with a compact six-race programme which comprises rounds of the BARC Winter Series.

Three classes are represented with two races each including the Sports and Saloons Winter Races, the Renault Clio Winter Series and the headlining Formula Renault Winter Series.

With a certain Kimi Raikkonen winning the Formula Renault UK Winter Championship back in 1999 and Lewis Hamilton winning the 2003 Formula Renault UK title, the single-seaters are very much a breeding ground for future stars whereas with the 'tin-tops', the action is always intense around Croft.

The action kicks off at 9.30am with qualifying and the first race is scheduled for 11.10am and the timetable is as follows:
