Stock Car Championship Series (SCCS) announce host organizations for 2002 season.

Rocky Mount, VA, April 17, 20002: SCCS, LLC announce that National Auto Sport Association (NASA-Virginia Region) and World Cars Championship Auto Racing Society (World CARS) will be the Host Organizations for the 2002 Stock Car Championship Series.

As Host Organizations, they will provide track time, track workers and safety personnel, during the SCCS race events. SCCS race events are in addition to the normal race activities that NASA-Virginia Region and CARS manage during their normal race and school groups activities providing a race packed weekend for racers and spectators.

SCCS Series Director Lynnie Doughton says,"NASA-Virginia Region is a professional organization with established relationships at many quality road racing facilities. NASA-Virginia Region is an ideal partner for the 2002 Stock Car Championship Series."

The 2002 season consist of 6 events hosted by NASA-Virginia Region and 2 events hosted by World CARS: <pre> April 20-21 Carolina Motorsports Park Kershaw, SC NASA-Virginia Region June 22-23 Summit Point Raceway Summit Point, WV NASA-Virginia Region July 19 Lowe's Motor Speedway Concord, NC NASA-Virginia Region August 3-4 Atlanta Motor Speedway Atlanta, GA CARS September 7-8 Lowe's Motor Speedway Concord, NC NASA-Virginia Region October 12-13 Virginia International Raceway Alton, VA NASA-Virginia Region November 2-3 Summit Point Raceway Summit Point, WV NASA-Virginia Region December 1 Road Atlanta Braselton, GA CARS

NASA-Virginia Region is the Atlantic Division chapter of a 7000-member, eight-year-old, California-based racing organization. NASA-Virginia Region is located in Richmond Virginia and Chris Cobetto is the director.

World CARS is a an organization dedicated to maintaining a WORLD CLASS Professional and Amateur Automobile Road Racing Series. World CARS is based out of Roswell Georgia and directed by founder Steve Nardiello.

SCCS, LCC is the founder of the Stock Car Championship Series (SCCS), which is a professional Stock Car Road Racing Series consisting of 8 events throughout the eastern United States. SCCS combines the excitement of bump & grind stock car racing with the driving challenge of first class road course venues. SCCS cars are purpose built race chassis's with 1999-2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlos, Ford Taurus', Pontiac Grand Prix and Dodge Intrepid's bodies with 400+ horsepower.
