ALLSTAR: 1999 All Star Schedule

PONCE INLET, FL - For their 20th anniversary season, the All Star Circuit of Champion Sprint Car series has announced a 60 race schedule for 1999 with more dates to be added. The series will visit at least eight states, and returns to several Indiana speedways for the first time in recent memory, by popular request.

The season kicks off with the traditional dates at a pair of Florida Speedways, Volusia Speedway Park (Daytona) Feb. 4-7 and East Bay Raceway (Tampa) Feb. 10-13.

Other early major events include the annual Attica Coors Nationals at Attica Raceway Park April 16-17 and the Eastern Pa. Swing at Grandview, Williams Grove and Lincoln May 5, 7 and 8.

The seventh annual Western Pa. Speedweek heads up June, with the opener on June 9 to be announced, followed by stops at Port Royal, Lernerville, Pa. Motor Speedway and Tri-City Speedway. The "Night the Stars Come Out" annual special where the All Stars are on the same card as the STARS Late Models will be at K-C Raceway near Chillicothe June 19. Eldora's Anniversary race will once again be held on Saturday, June 26.

Ohio Sprint Speedweek opens up for its 17th edition at Millstream Speedway in Findlay on Sunday, June 27, followed in order by consecutive stops at Wayne Co. Speedway, the Tuesday date to be announced, Wednesday at K-C, Thursday at Sharon, Friday at Lima Motorsports Park with the $10,000 to win final Saturday, July 3 at Attica Raceway Park.

A two-day show at the New 96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, MI is on the schedule Friday and Saturday July 23-24 with a charity golf tournament on Saturday. Then it's off to K-C's annual Freedom 40 on July 31.

Eldora Speedway hosts the All Star "Two Nights Before The Big One" on Aug 5. The All Stars then head west for Thunder Through the Plains V, co-sanctioned with the NCRA, visiting Eagle Raceway Monday, Aug. 16, with a Tuesday venue to be announced, Wed. at Salina (KS) Speedway, Friday at 81 Speedway in Wichita and Saturday's conclusion at Tulsa Speedway.

September kicks off with Lernerville's Earl and Dave Bauman Memorial Sept. 3, followed by the 19th annual Sharon Nationals Sept. 3-4. The Tuscarora 50 is set for Port Royal (PA) Speedway Sept. 10-11 with the 17th annual Hoosier Fall Classic weekend set for Brownstown (IN) Sept. 17 and Lawrenceburg (IN) Sept 18.

The season concludes at Eldora Speedway on Saturday, Oct. 2 with the points finale and the "Commercial Truck and Trailer Shootout."
