Team spirit alive for Morgan.

Adelaide 21 April 2002, Alan Gurr drove the SAE College BMW 320i to three consecutive chequered flags at Adelaide's Mallala Raceway today as the Super Tourers lined up for round two of the Power Tour series. His lead was pursued keenly by event second place, Team Mondeo's, Peter Hills.

Again taking the champagne for third overall was 16-year-old Andre Morgan in the Montee Coffee Alfa 156. Not without incident though, as Morgan started race day with little technical support. "My family and I were preparing the car ourselves and true team sprit came to the rescue. After Paul Leabeater's technical problem in race one; he offered his team," said Morgan this evening, "the guys from Redline Motorsport were great, thanks!"

A controversial stop-go penalty for both Peter Hills and Grant Johnson, both of Team Mondeo, as a consequence of alleged jump starts added fury to the competition with Hillsy finishing the event with the bit firmly between his teeth.

Super Tourers gird up again at Queensland Raceway on 23rd June 2002 as part of the action packed Power Tour motor sport circus.
