Hyundai Race Team Win Again

Toronto Ontario, Aug 15, 2010. Fresh from their success at the Toronto Indy, the G1 Racing team again dominated the weekend at Trois Rivieres and scored another first place finish. Both drivers were strong throughout the weekend. On Saturday, Sasha Anis scored a second place and Bob Attrell secured his first podium with a third place finish. On Sunday, the team again demonstrated their commitment to winning when Sasha Anis drove a flawless race to seize the Winner's Trophy.

The team have regularly moved up the rankings throughout the season. Bob Attrell's extraordinary hard charge on Saturday where he gained eleven positions, combined with Sasha Anis' performance as a constant "front-runner" has clearly proven the strength of the Hyundai Genesis Coupe. Winning the last two races also confirms the dedication of the race team and the support of the sponsors in creating a winning formula.

Team Manager John Lockhart commented: "Trois Rivieres is a tight and twisty track, so it's important to manage brakes and stick to your strategy. Both drivers drove excellent races. They did a great job of managing their brakes, avoiding walls, keeping their patience and letting the race come to them. It's an outstanding result."

The G1 Racing team have steadily improved throughout the season, from top ten finishes to podium positions. The team have now cemented themselves and the Hyundai Genesis Coupe as the dominant force in the Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship. They look forward to the Grand Prix of Mosport, August 27-29 where there is the real possibility of a three win hat trick.
