CASTROL TOURING CARS RETURN TO MIRABEL FOR THE FINAL ROUND

Mirabel, Quebec -- The Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship presented by Toyo Tires return to the Circuit ICAR at Mirabel, just north of Montreal for the final round of the 2010 season. Many of Canada's best race drivers are slated to be on hand this weekend racing in two extremely competitive car classes. With the championship titles still to be decided, this is the event that you just won't want to miss.

Watch for hometown favourites, Nick Wittmer, who is currently leading the Super Touring Class championship, driving for Lombardi Honda, as well as Audette Racing's Matthew Audette and GT Racing Etienne Borgeat who will also be on hand doing all they can in an attempt to take the top spots on the podium. Toronto's Donington Motorsports Dave Ciekiewcz is only 56 pts back of Wittmer and will be charging hard in his potent Subaru WRX STi attempting to knock Wittmer from atop the standings and take home the Championship for 2010.

Touring Class hopefuls include Michel Sallenbach from Roxton Pond piloting his Octane Motorsports MINI Cooper, M&S Racing' Tom Kwok and Pfaff Motorsports VW Golf pilot P. J. Groenke will be doing their best to bring championship podiums back home with them. Current Touring Class points leader Durabond/Compass360 Racing's Anthony Rapone has all but locked up the TC Championship, will be using every trick up his sleeve to ensure Kwok who is only 254 pts behind doesn't gain any ground and take the title away from him.

Canada's Best Racers Racing Today's Hottest Touring Cars will be going door to door in what fans can expect to be some of the season hottest action. Brands being showcased by the competitors this weekend include Acura, BMW, Nissan, Honda, Hyundai, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Mazda, Toyota, Volkswagen and Subaru.

The CCTCC will be the feature race series this weekend with a full 30-minute practice session, a 30-minute qualifying session and a thrilling 30-minute race on Saturday capping off the weekend with a 40 minute feature race on Sunday.
