Selinsgrove Speedway officials announced the cancellation of the Saturday, June 16 racing program at 4:15 p.m. due to rain. The cancellation marked the first since the 2001 racing season began on March 31.
Selinsgrove Speedway will be back in action this Saturday, June 23 with one of its biggest ever promotions. Billed as "Pack The Track" night, race fans of all ages will be admitted FREE to the grandstand and general admission seating areas of the race track.
The June 23 racing program will feature a four division show of Sprints, Late Models, Pro Stocks and Four Cylinder Pure Stocks (no aluminum heads permitted). Track gates will open at 4 p.m. with racing slated to begin at 7 p.m.
SILVER SPRING
Steady rain forced Silver Spring promoter Alan Kreitzer to cancel the racing program for June 16 at 3 Saturday afternoon. This is the second cancellation of the season, the other coming back on April 7.
Silver Spring swings back into action next Saturday, June 23, with a program of super sportsman, late models and street stocks.
