Knockhill, Fife, Scotland, 4 June 2000 - Dutchman Robert Doornbos became the second winner of the day as he led the Europa Cup field home at the challenging Knockhill circuit just north of Edinburgh, Scotland.

Series front-runner Justin Sherwood (Marque Cars) led the pack away on a slightly drier track than in the morning’s race. Robert Doornbos (D C Racing) gave chase, harrying Justin through the early laps of the race yet never able to find a way past. Then there was drama on lap 6 as Justin pulled into the pits with a broken CV joint, leaving Doornbos to pull clear of the rest of the field and win by nearly seven seconds from Bobby Issazadhe (Performance Racing) and Tom Guinchard (Steve Mole Motorsport). Keith Dempsey (Cliff Dempsey Racing), winner of the day’s first race, impressed again as he battled with the more powerful British-series cars, leaving the other Irish cars over 20 seconds behind. Sven Frindelius (Performance Racing) was forced onto the grass by Robert Scott (Status Motorsport) on the third lap in a move that would later earn him a penalty from the Clerk of the Course. Robert later retired with gearbox maladies anyway, giving the position back to Sven.

Irish-series front-runners Morgan Dempsey (Seam Renson Racing) and Paul Dagg (Cliff Dempsey Racing) were chased hard by Henry O’Friel (Leslie Wright Racing) having his best race of the Championship so far.
