SBS Television will present Australian coverage of the worlds biggest long distance rally event The Paris to Dakar Rally Round One of the FIA Cross country Cup which now includes the Australian Safari.

Two 120 minute programs will screen on Thursday January 26 (Australia Day) from 12.30 pm to 2.30 (12.00 Sth Aust.) and Saturday January 28 from 12.30 to 2.30 (12.00 Sth Aust.).

Also SPEEDWEEK, SBS's new weekly motor sport show, has moved to a new time slot at 5.30 est Saturdays.

Meanwhile Channel Nine will once again show rounds of the 95 Australian Manufacturers' Championship for 2 litre cars. Highlights of the series will run after Nines F1 coverage on Sunday nights. Series Organisers will be hoping that the prestige of being associated with the GP coverage will lift the profile of the series which struggled to gain an audience in 1994.Nine will also show rounds of the Winfield Top Fuel series and the Triple Challenge check local guides for details.

Also the TEN network are screening the Malaysian Rally on Sunday Jan 8 at 3.00pm. If there is a good reaction to it other rallies may follow.
