ENGLISH TOPS PIR FIELD
Paducah,KY- Terry English of Benton, KY warmed up for next weekends' "Terry Egner Memorial" by winning the UMP Late Model feature at Paducah International Raceway Saturday evening.
English made a clean sweep, recording fast time, winning his heat, and then holding off Paducah driver Gary Keeling for the feature win, and the $1,200 top prize. Randy Sellars, Bill Millikan, and Todd Rust completed the top 5. Sellars won the other heat race, as 17 UMP late models timed in. English now turns his sights toward next weekend at the PIR high-banks, competing in a special event named after a fallen crew member, Terry Egner.
English is the defending champion of the event.
Brandon Maxwell captured the UMP Modified feature, fending off fast qualifier Brent Glastetter. Todd Hosuer won the Pro Stock feature, Rowdy Burris captured the Street Stock feature, Chad May was victorious in the Street Stocks, and Darell Alvey defeated the largest 2-Person Cruiser field of the year.
Next Saturday, August 28, the "Terry Egner Memorial" special for UMP Late Models will run, with $2,000 going to the feature winner. All support classes will be running next weekend.
