Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR) celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2014 with an incredible line‐up of exciting motorsports events on its Road Course, Drag Strip, Kart Track and Mud Bog. Along with an enhanced company logo to commemorate the occasion, PBIR will be launching a new anniversary collection of merchandise including apparel, hats and collectibles. At each of PBIR’s major events throughout the year, race fans will be treated to special trackside surprises such as giveaways, complimentary tickets, and added entertainment.

“Having recently been named as the head of the facility, I’m thrilled to be at the helm during this exciting time in the company’s history,” noted Dale Gann, Vice President and General Manager of PBIR. “I’m looking forward to welcoming back all of our race fans and meeting new ones, as we celebrate 50 years of motorsports at PBIR.”

Highlights of PBIR’s History:

1964 Facility opens, owned by Joe Bucheck Jr and his brother Edward

1969 Palm Beach Pop Festival featured The Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin and Jefferson Airplane 1971 Air Show and Grand American Series of Professional Drag Racing events held

1979 Famous Indy 500 racer Lyn St. James made her professional debut at PBIR

1981 Dick Moroso purchased the facility and renamed it Moroso Motorsports Park

1982 Dick Moroso created one of the first ever $10K Big Money Bracket Races

2008 Facility acquired by IRG Sports + EntertainmentTM (IRG) and renamed PBIR
