PORSCHE AND HYATT SIGN INTERNATIONAL MOTORSPORTS SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT
ATLANTA - March 19 -- Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, Germany, and the Hyatt Corporation have initiated a three year motorsports agreement - initially in the German and U.S. markets - encompassing a variety of joint marketing activities.
The first sponsorship activity starts today, Saturday, March 19, at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring as the works-supported Alex Job Racing Porsche 911 GT3 RSR will carry the Hyatt logo. Hyatt will retain sponsorship of the car during the remainder of the 2005 American Le Mans Series season.
In the Porsche Michelin Supercup series, a makes cup support series to Formula 1 events around the world with evenly-matched Porsche 911 GT3 Cup racers, Hyatt has signed as a series sponsor.
"Porsche and Hyatt are a good market fit as both companies sell to an upscale market and provide excellent service. We hope these initial programs lead to additional joint activities," said Hartmut Kristen, head of Porsche Motorsport in Germany.
Hyatt currently operates 212 luxury hotels and resorts in 45 countries around the world. They are situated in capitals and major cities, at airports as well as in leading resort destinations.
