Second win for Ledesma in TC2000
Yesterday was a tough moment for Christian Ledesma. Today, it must have been mixed emotions for him. Last night, fellow TC 2000 driver made a 1,000 kilometre flight in a private plane to Mar del Plata where Ledesma had to attend his father's funeral. Early this morning, he was back in Rio Cuarto ready to compete in his works Chevrolet Astra.
Ledesma must be a strong person as he bravely drove his car to victory in the seventh round of the championship, his second success of his first season in the category. He was almost unbeable in the main event after heats won by himself and Gabriel Furlan (Mitsubishi Lancer).
Furlan finished second in a close fight with Juan Manuel Silva (Honda Civic), both of them ahead of Lucas Armellini (Chevrolet Astra), Martin Basso (Honda Civic) and Oscar Fineschi (Honda Civic).
The race had an average speed of 163.778 km/h. Norberto Fontana got some points with his top-ten result and keeps the series leadership with 72 points on his way to the next event at S alta (10 August). Walter Hernandez is second with 60 and Gabriel Ponce de Leon third with 55. Christian Ledesma is now sixth.
