FORT WORTH-DALLAS (Feb. 2, 2001) - Individual event tickets to the 2001 Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track season will go on sale at 9:00 am Tuesday, Feb. 6. Every major form of dirt track racing will compete at the facility during the year.

Highlighting the season will be a pair of RPM Week - Texas presentations. Each three-night Week will include the two leading dirt track organizations in the country, the Pennzoil World of Outlaws sprint cars and the United Dirt Track Racing Association Pro DirtCar Series, formerly the Hav-A-Tampa Series.

The first RPM Week - Texas kicks off Wednesday, March 28 with UDTRA followed Thursday and Friday, March 29-30 with the Southern Bleacher Classic for the Pennzoil World of Outlaws. The final RPM Week - Texas begins Thursday, Sept. 13 with the UDTRA Wolf Brand Chili Challenge. The World of Outlaws complete the weekend Sept. 14-15 in the O'Reilly Texas Showdown.

"Texas Motor Speedway is offering fans every major form of racing in the 2001 season and this includes the Dirt Track," said Eddie Gossage, speedway executive vice-president and general manager. "It is going to be a great year seeing national champions like Steve Kinser, Scott Bloomquist and Chris Carr. We are sure the fans are going to love our new dirt track grandstand."

Fans will save $3.00 per ticket by purchasing Dirt Track tickets in advance instead of at the gate. Dirt Track season tickets, offering fans a 40 percent savings on the two RPM Weeks - Texas, are also still available.

Dirt Track individual event tickets will be on sale seven days a week at the speedway ticket office, online at www.texasmotorspeedway.com or at the ticket hotline number of (817) 215-8500.
