June 29 - Jimmy Bryant, driving the Offenhauser powered Dean Van Lines Special, wins the first Monza 500 "Race of Two Worlds" (1957).

- Page Jones, son of Parnelli Jones, born (1972).

June 30 - Guido Adami drives a 5.3L Panhard to victory in the Coppa Italia. First road race of multiple laps -- 4 laps of 75 km each (1901).

- NASCAR racer Sterling Marlin born (1957).

- Gueseppi Farina dies of natural causes (1966).

July 1 - Vincenzo Lancia, in his first race, drives a Fiat to victory in the 220 km Padua-Vicenza-Bassano-Treviso-Padua race. Also the first race for Felice Nazzaro (1900).

July 2 - First Chicago, USA, area board track race held in Maywood, Illinois (1915).

- First Formula Ford race held, in England (1967).

July 4 - Richard Petty wins NASCAR Winston Cup race held at Daytona, Florida, USA. Petty's 200th win. Ronald Reagan becomes first sitting US President to attend a NASCAR race (1984).

July 5 - Bernd Rosemeyer drives an Auto Union to victory in the second George Vanderbilt Cup race (1937).
