10. For those unfamiliar with NASCAR's Pocono, it's a massive, flat and wide triangle. Not the most interesting place in the world (a little lost in the Pennsylvania countryside) but the start photos are always good.
9. This image satisfies our need for beautiful light that highlights the curves of a race car.
8. Great (and clean background) moment of Canadian GP winner Lewis Hamilton. Not always easy to get such a clean jubilation shot.
7. Nelson Piquet Jr. in Moscow city centre.
6. The most epic driver group photo of the year.
5. Prancing Horse blur through the Montréal trees.
4. A lit garage shot of Fernando Alonso will always make this list. Lovely control of light and situation.
3. Homer Simpson's "DOH" moment. One teammate taking out another at the start.
2. The atmospheric scrutineering shot to end all atmosphere scrutineering shots - Audi at the Place de la République, Le Mans city centre.
1. Hey cool helmet you got there. And by the way, your car is on fire.
