CLIO CUP ACE LLOYD TO HELP PROMOTE NEW SPORTS DRINK 'ZICO'

Daniel Lloyd's ELF Renault Clio Cup race car will feature an addition to its livery for rounds five and six of the season at Donington Park on 16th/17th May; the 17-year-old having become involved with the promotion of ZICO, a natural sports drink new-to-market in the UK.

The Scammonden driver, who is currently ninth overall in the standings after just four races in his debut season in the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship supporting series, has linked-up with the UK distributor of American drink ZICO and hopes the burgeoning partnership could lead to the exciting brand becoming more heavily involved with his racing as the year progresses.

"I'm delighted to be helping promote the ZICO brand and we're hopeful our new partnership will grow as the season unfolds", said Daniel, "Clio Cup is a great place for companies to be to benefit from some great marketing opportunities, not least the live TV coverage on ITV4 and highlights on ITV1.

"I'm looking forward to promoting ZICO with some good results at Donington. There are loads of health benefits from drinking ZICO so I'm sure it will help me perform to my best on track and recover my energy between races. That can only be good for my championship."

ZICO is a fat-free, low calorie, natural sports drink which is made of 100 per cent pure coconut water with natural essences. Available in three delicious flavours -- coconut, mango and passion fruit -- ZICO contains five naturally occurring electrolytes and includes more potassium than a banana. With no added sugar, low acidity and high levels of antioxidants, ZICO really is nature's sports drink.

Daniel will be back in action at the wheel of his ELF Renault Clio Cup race car during the official pre-event test at Donington Park's National Circuit on Thursday, 14th May, ahead of the event itself over the weekend 16th/17th May.

Qualifying for rounds five and six of the season will take place at 11.40 on Saturday, 16th May, with the first race of the weekend getting underway at around 17.15. Round six is timetabled to start at 13.30 on Sunday, 17th May, and will be screened live across the UK on Freeview, cable and digital satellite channel ITV4.
