Adam's New V8 BRute is Built for Speed

Country Music Star Adam Brand Can'T Wait To Take The Wheel Of his new Ford Falcon V8 BRute this racing season and already he's singing its praises.

Brand recently released his third album, Built For Speed, and his picture on the CD cover proudly reveals the official V8 BRute Muster logo stitched to his shirt.

The young singer is a long-time fan of horsepower, rather than horses, and got his first taste of motorsport as a speedway driver in his native Western Australia.

These days Adam's a loyal Ford fan. His daily driver is a 7.3 litre turbocharged Ford F250 and at the recent Tamworth country music festival he officially took delivery from Ford of his Falcon XR8 Pursuit ute, ready to race in the V8 BRute Muster.

As the title suggests, Built For Speed contains the odd track that reveal a love for cars and driving - the title song, plus New England Highway, Dirt Racer about sprint car racing and Nothin's Gonna Slow Me Down.

Inspiration came from such experiences as a road trip in an XR8 ute out past Bourke and, later, in the F250 to western Queensland.

Adam will be on the road again this year at rounds of the V8 BRute Muster around Australia. And he's promising the guitar will get an occasional workout at race meetings, as well as the XR8's gas pedal.

"Built For Speed was always going to be the album's title track. I can't wait till all the revheads who come to our shows hear this one," he says.

"It documents the life of a true revhead skinning their knees from crawling too fast as a kid in the first verse through to the last verse which says it all . . .

"About a hundred years from now when my body gives out, I won't need no nursemaid wheeling me around, I'll take a chrome Harley motor and bolt it to my chair, and lay a strip of rubber up those pearly white stairs."

In three years Adam Brand has become one of the most-awarded, highest-selling artists and biggest drawcards in Australian country music. Built For Speed is set to keep him on a full-throttle, fuel -injected ride in the racing world.
