VICTORY RAISES $18,000 FOR KYLE PETTY CHARITY FUND Motorcycle initiatives benefit children's hospitals

Daytona Beach, Fla, (July 1, 1999) -- Victory Motorcycles has raised $18,000 this spring for the Kyle Petty Charity Fund, which benefits children's hospitals across the nation. Victory, named 1998 Cruiser of the Year, donated almost $15,000 during the Kyle Petty Charity Ride in May. The Petty charity is named for NASCAR driver Kyle Petty, who leads an annual cross-country motorcycle ride to raise money for children's hospitals nationwide. Victory also raised more than $3,000 during the first cross-state Victory ride to the 45th Anniversary celebration of Polaris in June. "Victory Motorcycles is thrilled to present the Kyle Petty Charity Fund with $18,000 raised by our company, our customers and our employees," said Darcy Betlach, marketing communications manager for Victory. "The Kyle Petty Charity Fund is one of the favorite charities of motorcyclists across the nation, and we're happy to be a part of it."

Victory presented the donation to Kyle Petty at the Daytona International Speedway July 1. The Victory V92C is a made-in-the-U.S.A heavyweight cruiser featuring a unique combination of looks, performance, and sound. The Victory Motorcycle is designed with classic aviation, automotive and motorcycle styling and it looks like no other motorcycle on the market. With a displacement of more than 92 cubic inches (1507 cc), it's engine is one of the largest V-twins available.

Victory Motorcycles recently shipped it's 2,500th bike, a milestone reached in just nine months after the July 4, 1998, start of production at the company's Spirit Lake, Iowa manufacturing facility. Victory Motorcycles is a division of Polaris Industries Inc. Polaris designs, engineers, manufactures and markets snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, Victory Motorcycles, personal watercraft and the POLARIS RANGER for recreational and utility use. Polaris is the largest snowmobile manufacturer in the world and one of the largest U.S. manufacturers of ATV's and personal watercraft. Polaris Industries Inc. trades on the New York Stock Exchange and Pacific Stock Exchange under the symbol "PII", and the company is included in the S&P SmallCap 600 stock price index.
