LEXUS-POWERED PROTOTYPE CONTINUES TO LEAD ROLEX 24 AT 6-HOUR MARK

With six-time Rolex 24 winner Scott Pruett behind the wheel, the #01 Telmex-Target Lexus-Riley continues to lead the Rolex 24 at the six-hour mark of the race. The #01 led a stretch of 91 laps consecutively from Lap 94 to 185 before giving up the lead on a pit-stop. In total, Lexus-powered cars led a stretch of 88 percent of the laps run in the 24 hours after leading the final 168 laps a year ago and 145 of the first 185 run today.

Scott Dixon, #02 Target/Telmex Lexus-Riley: "We had a great start and managed to move up quite a bit in the early going, which was nice. The car is performing perfectly right now and it was solid through the first stint and midway through the second. Unfortunately I locked up the left front tire and flat-spotted it down to the cords. We lost a few seconds but other than that it's just been the usual wear and tear of this race."

Chip Ganassi, Ganassi Racing team owner: "You know this is a long race, and I think to this point it's about the same as it's been in year's past. But the point is, when you've been in this many races in your life, it's almost like you don't feel anything really. You've done this so many times you know how racing works and the amount of patience required to be successful."

David Empringham, #61 Exchange Traded Gold Lexus-Riley: "We're plugging away. The car's really, really good. We're trying to save the car, but also push as much as we can without risking anything. We just got sprayed with oil, so I couldn't see anything, but the track's really good."

Burt Frisselle, #61 Exchange Traded Gold Lexus-Riley: "The first stint was fine. It's probably one of the most cautious stints of the race because there are so many cars out there. Our car seems to be running perfectly. We can start to pick up the pace just a little bit, and hopefully just keep on running and consistent through the night."
