SIGALSPORT BMW HAS PODIUM AMBITIONS FOR THE 2006 ROLEX 24 AT DAYTONA!

Los Angeles, January 23, 2006: The Sigalsport BMW team is going to next weekend's 44th Rolex 24 At Daytona, which will kick off the 2006 Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Special Reserve on the weekend of January 26-29, with two BMW M3s and eight drivers with the goal to finish on the podium of the mythical endurance race.

Following a productive winter testing program and successful tests at Daytona early this month, the Los Angeles BMW team co-owed by Gene and Trista Sigal is ready to run in front and ultimately score another podium finish and perhaps a GT class win in the Rolex 24. This will be a great result for BMW that will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 1976 BMW overall win in the 3.5 CSL that Peter Gregg and Brian Redman drove.

Sigalsport BMW team drivers' line up for the Rolex 24 includes exceptional past Rolex 24 winner and series champion and previous GT race winners. The Alhadeff Motorsports / Motul / Guarneros Racing Wear / enVista / OMP / GlycoMax Sigalsport BMW M3 No. 05 will be co-driven by four American drivers, two-time Rolex Series champion and Rolex 24 at Daytona 1998 GT winner, Bill Auberlen, multi Rolex Series GT winners Justin Marks and Tom Milner and by Matt Alhadeff who is starting his second full Rolex Series season with Sigalsport and recently finished third overall in the 24 Hours of Dubai. The Sigalsport / Java One Coffee / Chase Properties / Guarneros Racing Wear / OMP / Glycomax BMW M3 No. 04 will be co-driven by team owner Gene Sigal, Peter MacLeod, Blake Rosser from the United States of America and Miro Konopka from the Slovak Republic.

"I am delighted to go racing at Daytona with such a winning team of drivers" announced team owner and driver of car No. 04, Gene Sigal. "Being able to race one of the most competitive GT cars in the series in one of the most famous races in the world with some of the best endurance drivers on the planet is a dream come true. We have been working hard to get there and I want to thank our crew and engineer who have been working 24/7 since the last race at Mexico City where the team finished second in the GT class for our first race with the BMW. The winter was short but we had time to test the car, find our marks and understand the car, thanks to Bill who helped with the coaching. Last week we went to race in the inaugural 24 Hours of Dubai and finished third overall with two of our team drivers for Daytona, Miro Konopka and Matt Alhadeff. This again proves that we can get the job done and that a podium finish at the Rolex 24 is realistic. Our team was able to hire three BMW factory drivers, Bill Auberlen, Justin Marks and Tom Milner and with their expertise and experience, they will motivate our new team drivers, Peter Macleod, who knows Daytona, he finished second in his class in 2003 and Blake Rosser and Miro Konopka who also drove at the Rolex 24 last year" continued Sigal.

The start of Rolex 24 at Daytona will be live on Speed TV on Saturday, January 28 at noon Eastern Time.
