Fontana: Grease Monkey Racing preview

Grease Monkey Racing To Run Two Cars For The Season Finale.

Los Angeles, Ca., October 28, 2004---This coming weekend's Rolex Grand-Am Series event at California Speedway in Fontana is special on two counts for Grease Monkey Racing. First, the race marks the long awaited debut of the second car, #03 2004 Porsche GT3 Cup Car. Secondly, it's the home event for the Southern California based rookie team.

Andrew Alfonso and Tim Traver will share the #03 Porsche GT3 in SGS. Alfonso has been Grease Monkey Racing's official test driver and finished sixth in his Grand-Am debut at Watkins Glen. Alfonso also raced a Porsche GT3 Cup Car in El Salvador as part of RPM Aceleracion's Gua-Sal team. Tim Traver, from San Diego California, comes from an open wheel racing background. He is a multi-time winner in the Skip Barber 2-Liter Series and participated in the Barber Dodge Pro-Series in 2002. This will be Traver's first race in Grand-Am. Harrison Brix and Gene Sigal will again be teamed together at California Speedway in the SGS #04 2004 Porsche GT3 Cup Car. After testing at Buttonwillow Raceway last week, the successful duo plans to improve on their second place finish at Homestead.
