Full entry for Daytona Rolex 24

The Rolex 24 again has a full entry with 85 cars, at the latest count, competing for 80 places on the grid. Dyson Racing looks strong with two Riley & Scott MkIIIs, putting 'Bentley Boys' James Weaver, Andy Wallace and Butch Leitzinger in the lead car. Giuseppe Risi, possibly racing for the last time with a brand-new Ferrari 333 SP, has a 'dream team' including ALMS champion Allan McNish, Panoz team leader David Brabham, Ralf Kelleners and Eric van de Poele. Dave Maraj again enters his Champion Motorsport Lola Porsche (with a more favourable inlet air restrictor permitted by the Grand-Am organisation) for old-timers Hurley Haywood and Bob Wollek, with Dorsey Schroeder and Sascha Maassen.

Chevrolet's two Corvettes, only narrowly beaten by the mighty Vipers 12 months ago, will be looking for outright victory this time. The SR1 group is down to 14 cars (21 last year) and if their past reliability is anything to go by, the GM team stands to gain. Ron Fellows is joined in the lead car by Chris Kniefel, Franck Freon and Johnny O'Connell. NASCAR stars Dale Earnhardt Sr and Jr share the second Corvette with Andy Pilgrim and Kelly Collins.

Paul Newman competes once again, at the age of 76, sharing the Gunnar Racing Porsche GT1 Evo with 18-year-old Gunnar Jeanette, Mike Brockman and Wayne Jackson.
