GODSTONE RANCH MOTORSPORTS COMPLETES SUCCESSFUL TEST AT THE ROAR BEFORE THE 24

Daytona Beach, Florida - January 11th, 2010 -Godstone Ranch Motorsports completed its first test this weekend at the Daytona International Speedway under near freezing and rainy conditions in preparation for the Rolex 24 at Daytona. The GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series fans finally got to see the team's brand new Corvette C6.R after picking it as the most anticipated new car of the season in an online poll.

After lengthy delays due to rain and record low temperatures, Paul Edwards took over the principal testing duties throughout the weekend. The 2008 GT Champion worked closely with engineer Tony Dowe to find the right balance for the #07 Godstone Ranch Motorsports / Team MBR / LRPG / Corvetteand managed to turn the car's fastest lap of 1m50.815s around the historic 3.56-mile, 12-turn speedway road course. Motorcycle legend Scott Russell is preparing for his second Rolex 24 and his first full time season in cars, despite limited track time during the Roar he managed to quickly familiarize himself with his new ride and turn some impressive laps. Davy Jones is no stranger to Daytona, although this weekend's test marked the first time in years that the 1990 Rolex 24 overall winner made a return to the track, his experienced paid off as he was able to give valuable feedback to the Godstone Ranch Motorsports crew as they prepare for the grueling 24 hour race. John McCutchen II had never turned a lap around the Daytona International Speedway but the Dallas, Tx native proved to be a fast learner and managed to quickly get up to speed and adapt to a new track and a new car.

Paul Edwards 07 Godstone Ranch Motorsports / Team MBR / LRPG / Corvette

"It was a good weekend, the car was reliable but we still have some work to do on the balance which is to be expected with a new car. Everybody got to do laps in the car and there are still four wheels on it so that's always a good sign for the race.

I'm really happy, the Corvette is a lot of fun to drive. The team is working their butt off, a lot of people here are new so there is a lot of learning going on from all angles. I wish the weather would've treated us a little bit better, we lost a lot of time and didn't get to do as much running as we thought. The Texas Heart Institute car is going to be there, we weren't too far off for our first test, we are probably about a second off but we still have some things to try when we come back."

Scott Russell 07 Godstone Ranch Motorsports / Team MBR / LRPG / Corvette

"It was an interesting first test with the weather hindering our time, I think we could've made a lot more gains with the car that we did. For the most part the car is comfortable to drive but we are down on speed on the straights and there are a few other things that we need to work on to be competitive for the race.

I like this track, I've been around here a lot, I'm every familiar with every little bit about it. I'm pretty happy with my progress in the car with the short amount of time track that we had. I'm very optimistic that I'll be able to go really fast in this thing when we get it dialed in."

Davy Jones 07 Godstone Ranch Motorsports / Team MBR / LRPG / Corvette

"Despite the cold weather and lack of driving time on the track we had a good test. The Godstone Ranch Motorsports team worked really well together for our first outing and we learned a lot about the car. The GT class this year is going to be more competitive than ever which is going to make the race very challenging. We have a lot of work to do in the next two weeks but I'm confident that we'll be to fight for the win with the Texas Heart Institute car."

John McCutchen II 07 Godstone Ranch Motorsports / Team MBR / LRPG / Corvette

"Mother nature was not kind to anybody here so for a car that has never rolled a wheel that kept us behind all weekend trying to chase down all the little problems that you get with a new car. We are not very far from the fastest guys out here, we still need to find more speed on the straights but I think we'll have a very competitive car for the Rolex 24.

I'm a Floridian native, this track is in my DNA, to get around here the first time and see that stripe go bye is a great thrill but after that its all down to business. The car is really solid to drive, we just have a few teething problems but we'll fix that and be ready to for the race."
