Justin rejoins Michael Shank Racing for Grand-Am Rolex season
Justin has signed up to race the No. 60 Michael Shank Racing Lexus-Riley in Saturday's 2007 Grand-Am Rolex Series finale, the SunChaser1000 at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah. He will share driving duties with 2006 defending race winners Mark Patterson and Oswaldo Negri in the 1000km, 7hr 30 minute endurance race. Saturday's event will mark Justin's second Grand Am Rolex Series start after he scored a strong 2nd place with Michael Shank Racing in the Daytona 24 Hours in 2006 with Patterson, Negri and A.J. Allmendinger.
"I'm really happy about the opportunity to race with this team again," said Justin. "We had a great race together at Daytona last year and I've been keeping tabs on them ever since. I have never run at Miller before, but it sounds like a very interesting track. These cars are a lot of fun to race, and really, who better to team up with than the guys who won the race last year? I'm really looking forward to it."
Justin has been working flat out since his Champ Car victory in Assen. Last week he flew straight from Holland to Australia to undertake promotional work ahead of the Surfers Paradise event in October. After a few days at home in Colorado to re-set his time clock he's now en route to Utah to prepare for this weekend's race.
