Adam Pecorari Capitalizes on Opportunities
Fourth at Trois Rivieres & Track Record in Denver

ASTON, PA (August 14, 2006) - Race car drivers want to do one thing above all else, drive race cars regardless of what, where or when. Adam Pecorari is no exception to the rule and has spent the last two weeks demonstrating his willingness and desire to succeed in this sport. Pecorari competed in two different race cars while running in two different series in two different countries.

While there were many differing factors involved, there was one constant; the Aston, PA driver was fast in everything he drove.

The busy stretch of action started in the Canadian province of Quebec at the storied Grand Prix of Trois Rivieres where the Grand Am Cup Series was in action. Pecorari joined the Rehagen Racing team and regular driver Ray Mason in the #59 Mustang GT sponsored by Columbus Truck & Equipment, Racer Bargains and www.racer91M.com.

It was just the second Grand Am race of the year for Pecorari but he wasted no time in getting comfortable with the surroundings.

"We were quick right out of the box at Trois Rivieres in the Grand Am Cup car. In practice I had the Rehagen Mustang GT fourth quick on the charts and we still had some speed in the car," noted Adam. "After qualifying, my teammate Ray Mason and I went over data for a few hours in order to make the most of the opportunity."

Once the race started, Mason moved quickly from his 24th starting position, making passes every lap. He got as high as second and was in fourth place for nearly thirty minutes. Mason was also within a few tenths of a second off the fastest race lap setting the stage for Pecorari's turn behind the wheel.

"Following pit stops I hit the track in ninth position and was able to work through traffic and in to fourth. In the closing laps I turned the fourth fastest lap of the race." While the hard charging driver found success quickly, he noted that the Trois Rivieres circuit was very demanding. "It was a very difficult race because you have to learn to save your brakes as well as drive as hard as you can to go fast. Also, moving through the field requires you to use a lot more brakes. You have to be able to quickly adjust your driving to the conditions to make sure you have a fast car under you at the end of the race as well."

"This was a great race for Rehagen Racing - a second last event and now a fourth, the team is really on a run. Hats off to my teammate Ray Mason, as he drove an amazing race and gave me a good car. With a lucky break here or there we would have had a podium for sure."

Just a few days later and half a continent away, Pecorari found himself behind the wheel of the #18 Fred Baker Audi machine of STaSIS Motorsports in the SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge event at the Grand Prix of Denver.

The drive was a one race deal in the Audi A4 as a substitute for regular driver Fred Baker who had to miss the race due to previous commitments. Despite being a newcomer to the seat, Adam quickly was up to speed qualifying sixth on the tricky Denver street circuit.

The race was an aggressive affair with Pecorari right in the middle of the lead pack action. He had worked his way to the front early and even made a third to first pass on the backstretch at one point only to have the leaders return the favor. Along the way, Pecorari set the fastest lap of the race as well, a new track record for the class.

With this only a one race deal, Adam decided to make sure the car came home in one piece.

"Toward the end of the race the other drivers were getting really aggressive! Since I was only doing one race and the team was racing next week with the normal driver, Freddy Baker, I decided to finish clean and took the 6th place.

Pecorari was thrilled with the experience, qualifying and finishing sixth in his first event while setting a new track record.

"I have been trying to do a few races in Speed World Challenge. STaSIS team owner Paul Lambert called with this opportunity and all the pieces quickly fell in to place. STaSIS Motorsports is a first class team; hopefully we can put something together for the 2007 season. Thanks to Paul and the whole STaSIS crew for a fantastic opportunity and a fast race car in the MAHLE powered Audi A4."

Adam Pecorari is back in action next at Road America as he continues his quest for the IMSA-Lites Championship. Pecorari has dominated the season to date, winning all six Poles and five of six races. This race will be run in conjunction with the American Le Mans Series, August 19-20.
