The No. 10 SunTrust Racing Pontiac Riley was clocked at 1:46.729 for a speed of 120.080 miles per hour during Friday's practice four session. Angelelli will co-drive with Emmanuel Collard and team owner Wayne Taylor at the 24 Hours of Daytona.

"I am extremely happy how the test went," said Angelelli. "Especially thinking about the test we had last year when we basically did not run at all."

The Daytona Prototype and GT teams were testing for February's 24 Hours, and many will run the entire 2005 season. "I am extremely impressed how this championship turned and the very high level of drivers involved for the race," commented Angelelli.

"It looks like this race is going to be the best race ever. I badly need a watch. I really need to get a watch. I've finished second two times, and now it's time to finish first."

Second fastest in the three-day test was the new Krohn Racing/TRG entry in a Pontiac Riley. Max Papis, Oliver Gavin and Jorg Bergmeister were clocked at 1:47.182 (119.572 mph). Third quick in DP was the No. 20 Pontiac Crawford handled by Andy Wallace, Jan Lammers and Tony Stewart in the CITGO/Howard-Boss Motorsports at 1:47.253 (119.493 mph).

Interestingly, the top three times came during Friday night's test session.

In the GT class, the No. 36 TPC Racing Porsche set the fastest time at 1:56.604 (109.910 mph) during Friday's session three, which ended up as the best time. The three days of testing was shared by Mike Fitzgerald, John Littlechild and Randy Pobst.

TPC Racing has two Porsches they will field in the 24-hour race, at this time, they have not confirmed which drivers will compete in the No. 36 or No. 37 cars. The other two drivers who tested were Manuel Matos and Spencer Pumpelly.

Flying Lizard Motorsports' No. 75 Porsche was the only other GT team under the one-minute fifty-seven-second mark. Seth Neiman, Johannes van Overbeek and Lonnie Pechnik were clocked at 1:56.920 (109.613 mph).

Grand-Am Cup drivers took to the road/oval circuit to prepare for their season opener at the famed speedway. There first 2005 race will be held February 4th, the 24-hours will start Saturday, the 5th.

The GS class saw the Krohn Racing/TRG Porsche set the fastest time on the final day of testing. Tracy Krohn and Nic Jonsson sped around the 3.56-mile circuit with a time of 2:04.850 for a top speed at 102.651 miles per hour.

Second quick in GS was the duo of Mike McCalmont and Darren Law in the Zoom Motorsports Porsche at 2:05.420 (102.185 mph).

The right to claim the best time in the ST class was traded over the course of the three days by two Mazda RX-8 teams -- the No. 49 Southpaw Racing Mazda and the SpeedSource No. 70 Mazda -- both topped out over 96 miles per hour.

When all was said and done, the honors went to Mark Eaton and Mike Hapin for the Southpaw RX-8 with a time at 2:12.549 for a top speed of 96.689 miles per hour. David Haskell and Sylvain Tremblay hit their best time at 2:12.608 (96.646 mph).
