#43 HRPWorld.com preview: HRPworld.com team getting stronger every race
The 2003 Grand-Am Cup season has seen the HRPworld.com team get stronger and stronger at every event. Entering round five at California, the King Motorsports Acuras Integras are ready to push forward and retain their 2001 and 2002 ST II Championships.
At Barber Park, the King Motorsports Acura Integras were just a bit short of a perfect weekend. After 2 1/2 hours of racing, Will Nonnamaker missed out on first place by only 7 feet. The team claimed 2nd, 3rd and 4th, but in addition the team was fastest in the race, qualifying, practice and test day.
Prior to Alabama, HRPWorld.com captured first and third in Round 3 at Phoenix International Raceway.
"California was a strong event for us last year with a run to second place," states Will Nonnamaker. "We are on a mission this weekend to finish one better. Howie is really proving why he was the 2000 ST I Champion. He is really getting tuned into our King Motorsports Acuras, and he is starting to fly. His pole at Barber is testament enough of that."
The HRPworld.com - King Motorsports Acuras bid for the 2003 Championship will be supported through partnerships with AEM, American Honda / Acura, Denso Iridium Power, Grill Craft, Hawk Brake, Horizon Audio, Mugen Sport, Pennzoil, TheRaceSite.com, Waikem, Volk Wheels, and ZR Racing Products.
#42 HRPWorld.com preview: Belinda Endress and Ray Bailey team up
For round five of the Grand-Am Cup, the #42 King Motorsports Acura will have a new driver combination. Ray Bailey makes his second start with the HRPworld.com team after an amazing third place finish at Barber Park.
"Ray did an excellent job coming into the team at Barber Park," states crew chief Mike Thomas. "He was very steady in his progress all weekend long. In a very pressure filled rain race, he kept right on the pace of the leaders, allowing Howie to bring the car home in third place."
Belinda Endress will be making her debut race with the HRPworld.com team.
"Belinda is a very experienced veteran road racer," - states Will Nonnamaker, driver of HRPworld.com's #43 King Motorsports Acura Integra. "She has a great resume coming out of the Panoz GT series. Her experience at the California Speedway should be beneficial in the team's overall success this weekend."
Currently HRPworld.com's #42 King Motorsports is third in the ST II Team Championship. With still seven races to go in the season, #42 is only 22 points out of first place. In 2002, the #42 finished in third in the ST II Team Championship.
HRPworld.com's #42 King Motorsports Acuras is supported through partnerships with AEM, American Honda / Acura, Denso Iridium Power, God Speed On Wheels, Grill Craft, Hawk Brake, Horizon Audio, Lone Star Communications, Mugen Sport, Pennzoil, Rauland, TheRaceSite.com, Waikem, Volk Wheels, and ZR Racing Products.
