Burrows and Hopwood 5th on Lime Rock Park Grid; There is traffic even when driving out in the country...

Lakeville, CT (23 May 2009)--Trevor Hopwood will start Saturday's Road Racing Classic 250 from fifth on the ST class grid in the No. 198 Fischer Skis MINI Cooper after posting a fast lap time of 57.790-seconds at Lime Rock Park on Saturday.

The starting position was a modest disappointment for the KONI Challenge Champion after the RSR Motorsports-prepared MINI had shown strong speed through the practice sessions leading up to qualifying on the quick 1.51-mile circuit.

"I just kept getting held up by traffic out there-I'd back off, get a gap, and then every time I'd get back going again, I'd catch someone on going slowly on the line, so I'd have to start all over," said Hopwood, who will share the driving duties with fellow Champ Adam Burrows. "I had one fast lap right way, but it wasn't quite enough to get the front row spot we were hoping for. But it's a long race, and the car is good, so hopefully we can come home with a good finish."

Saturday's 2.5-hour race will take the green flag shortly.
