Burrows takes pole position at Lime Rock Park

(Lakeville, CT) 26 May 07--No matter what kind of car he is racing, Adam Burrows has developed the habit of taking pole position at Lime Rock Park. Saturday was no different as he set the fastest lap of the session to put the Turner Motorsport BMW 330i on pole for Saturday's Grand-Am KONI Challenge ST race at Lime Rock Park. Burrows, a longtime Connecticut resident, will share the driving duties with fellow New Englander Trevor Hopwood.

The 1:00.766-second lap on the 1.53-mile natural terrain road course in Northwest Connecticut was nearly a half-second clear of the competition in the twenty-eight car field.

"I was able to get a little bit of a gap in traffic, and from there it was just a matter of putting in the lap," said Burrows. "The Turner guys have done a great job getting ready for this race weekend after the long cross-country trip from Laguna Seca and I'm happy to get the pole for them."

Burrows wouldn't' admit how many pole positions he's won in his career at Lime Rock Park, but he was quick to point out how he was able to do it once again on Saturday.

"The balance and the brakes are great on this BMW, and I obviously just love driving on this track," said Burrows. "Having a championship-caliber team like Turner Motorsport behind me is also a big boost and Trevor so I are looking forward to the race this afternoon."
