Chris Meredith to Make Koni Challenge Debut

Braselton, GA (May 21, 2008) - Chris Meredith, a former front-runner in the Formula Ford Cooper Series has switched his focus to sports car racing from open-wheel. Chris has joined GSM Motorsports driving the VW GTI and will compete in the second round of the Koni Challenge series at Lime Rock Park. Chris will be driving with Keith Carroll who is also making his debut with the team.

Originally from Potomac, MD, Chris recently moved down to Braselton, GA to dedicate 100% of his time to his racing career and instructing at Road Atlanta. Chris, who competed in the Cooper Series in 2006 consistently ran in the top five with his best result being three podium finishes and never qualifying outside the top five. Over the past two months Chris and the team have been busy testing, further developing the GTI. Last season, in the team's first year with the car they led at Homestead, and in this year's opening round at Daytona they were the second fastest GTI of three.

"I am really looking forward to making my sports car debut in Koni Challenge and with GSM Motorsports," commented Meredith. "The team and I gelled right away and we have been making a lot of progress with the car. I can not thank Jon Lewis and all my supporters for making this possible."
