Another Top Ten Finish for Mitchum Motorsports; Atterbury and von Moltke Team Up For Eighth Place

Lakeville, CT (May 29, 2010) - The #62 Mitchum Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro, raced its way from 15th all the way up to 8th place in today's GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge race at Lime Rock Park.

Starting from 15th on the grid, Dion von Moltke powered through the field and turned the car over to co-driver Joey Atterbury in a solid ninth place. "The Camaro was good today. I tried to drive smart, picking my places to make passes and most importantly turn the car over to Joey in one piece" said von Moltke. "Lime Rock is a short track where things can happen fast. I was happy to have made up so many spots in the first half of the race while avoiding any incidents."

Atterbury took over and drove a solid stint as well, racing his way as high as third place, before diving into pit lane for a splash-and-go of fuel with only a few laps to go. "What a great result for the team. Dion drove great and put us in a position for another top ten finish" noted Atterbury. "The car was fast and I was able to move up another spot for our best finish of the year!"

The eighth place finish is the highest for Mitchum Motorsports this season. Team principle Chris Mitchum was pleased with the continued progress of the car and team. "I am happy for the guys - drivers and crew - as they have all been working hard on the car all season long. Every week we get a little bit better as we sort out the new Camaro. Joey and Dion ran smart, clean races and brought the car home. This was especially important this weekend as we only have a few days before we hit the track again at Watkins Glen" said Mitchum.

The team is already loading the hauler to head for Watkins Glen where the next round of the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge will be contested on June 5th.
