SIGALSPORT BMW TEAM FINISHES 6TH AND 12TH AT LIME ROCK

JOEY HAND TO RACE WITH SIGALSPORT BMW AT THE GLEN!

Los Angeles, California, May 30, 2006: Bill Auberlen and Matt Alhadeff co-driving the No. 05 Alhadeff Motorsports / MOTUL / enVista / GRW.com.mx / OMP / Piloti Driving Shoes BMW M3 finished 6th yesterday at Lime Rock, Connecticut in the 7th round of the 2006 Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series. This performance allows the Sigalsport BMW 05 duo to keep its 6th place overall in the 2006 Rolex Series GT team points.

Peter MacLeod and Gene Sigal co-driving the No. 04 Sigalsport / Java One Coffee / MOTUL / GRW.com.mx / Envista / OMP / Piloti Driving Shoes BMW had a fantastic day running as high as 5th in the race until some transmission problems forced the car to stop 12 laps before the end of the race. Sigal and MacLeod finished 12th in the race and car 04 is now ranked 12th in the 2006 Rolex Series GT team points.

In the 2006 Rolex Series GT driver standings, Matt Alhadeff and Bill Auberlen are now ranked 5th and Peter MacLeod and Gene Sigal are 11th in points.

It is of course a disappointing performance for the Sigalsport BMW team who was hoping for a podium finish at Lime Rock Park, which has always been a good track for the BMW. Unfortunately the performance of the BMW M3 was not as good as team drivers hoped and even with Bill Auberlen's third fastest lap in the race scored with fresh sticker tires, it was mission impossible to fight with the Pontiac GTOs. Lime Rock Park was the first race where the minimum weight of the BMW was reduced by 75 pounds but even with the weight reduction, and with Auberlen, one of the best GT drivers in the world driving the 05 car, the M3 was never in contention to equitably run with the GTOs.

The team was able to do a great job all weekend and is now preparing the cars for another terrific rendezvous, the Six Hours of the Glen at the famed Watkins Glen International Raceway next Saturday, June 3.

BMW driver and multiple Rolex Series GT race winner, Joey Hand, from Sacramento, California, will join Bill Auberlen and Matt Alhadeff and will co-drive the Sigalsport BMW 05 in the grueling race this week. Gene Sigal and Peter MacLeod will co-drive the 04 Sigalsport BMW M3 at the Glen which will be the 8th round of the 2006 season.

This race will be a good opportunity for the Sigalsport to do well and hopefully finish in the top five. SPEED will provide live television coverage of the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
